The Waihi Stream Loop Track

Zig-Zagging the Waihi Stream a few times the track gradually rises through bush past waterfalls. Then a ten minute ascent leads to an old track with views over the Orakawa Reserve and Waihi Beach before returning via the Reservoir-Old Firebreak Track. The stream isn’t deep but be prepared for wet feet if you miss your footing.

Suggested date Sat 21st April (alternate date Wed 18th April (since its school holidays flexible on date).
