Programme Overview

The Taupo Disc Golf Club maintains and enhances the Spa Park Disc Golf Course, creates both local and national disc golf events, and introduces the game to young people throughout the region. The club is vibrant, with local players linking up to play at Spa Park nearly every day of the week throughout the year. In addition, we host PDGA league events throughout the year, for players keen on taking the next step in their competitive disc golf journey. We also play host to three annual disc golf tournaments, the 90-player Taupo Thermal Throwdown in the spring, the larger 150+-player Taupo Classic in the Summer/Fall and the Juniors only tournament, The Rising Stars Open in the summer. We have also hosted numerous school learning sessions independently and through Kiwisport to increase awareness and engagement for our local youngsters.
