Programme Overview

Powerchair Football, also known as Power Soccer is a competitive team sport for disabled people who use power wheelchairs. The game is played in a gymnasium on a regulation basketball court. Two teams of four players use powerchairs equipped with footguards to attack, defend, and spin-kick a 13-inch (330 mm) football in an attempt to score goals.

We train once a month and each year host a regional event called Activ8 where you can get the opportunity to put your skills to the test. The club is run by a wonderful group of volunteers who have dedicated their time and efforts to maintain this sport and grow it within the region as well as within NZ. Come and be part of something great!
