Programme Overview

The Kori Tinana - Wahine Ma 3 week Programme sets out to provide Marae based fitness activity for local wahine that is enjoyable and enables them to feel comfortable in the environment of the Marae.

The programme includes 2 sessions per week - Tuesdays and Thursdays. Kori Tinana - Wahine Ma provides an introduction to Aerobic Exercise using music to maintain momentum.

Participants are shown a range of low impact movements and follow the prompts of the instructor throughout the sessions. The program supports the health needs of our iwi and promotes healthy living among wahine through exercise.

Kori Tinana - Wahine Ma is a programme exclusive to women and is suitable for a variety of fitness and physical ability levels.
