Programme Overview
We are a NZ Olympic Style Wrestling Club and offer lessons for ages 5 and up split up into juniors and seniors. Our junior classes run for one hour and seniors for 1:30 hours, with well known coaches in the wrestling community. Wrestling is a very competitive sport and it is a great way for learning how to control your body and to learn different positions that you can put your body into. It develops great endurance and is a full body workout. This sport offers Club tournaments throughout the year where you receive medals or certificates. If you wish to take wrestling further and progress well, there are numerous international competitions and cultural exchange opportunities. You may choose to just train in wrestling as a means of supporting you with other sports, e.g. rugby, BJJ etc., which is absolutely fine - being involved in competitions is not a requirement of this club. If the sport does not interest you, refereeing is also an option and an exciting way to be part of the sport.
Thursday Juniors 6-7pm and seniors 7-8:30pm
