Programme Overview

Junior Rugby for Primary and Intermediate Schools. - "To provide a positive experience, in a safe environment for all junior rugby in Cambridge". CJRS administers all Junior rugby in Cambridge, 6th-13th Grade. This means liaising with schools to arrange registrations and run Saturday morning primary school rugby.

Intermediate rugby is run directly by the Club and draws players from the local schools. CJRS is affiliated to Waikato rugby and hosts courses and offers suport for schools, coaches, players and referees within the smallblacks model and arranging representative games around Waikato competitions.

CJRS also liaises with the Cambridge Rugby Union with regard to the use of the Memorial park and Tom Voyle grounds. The Cambridge Rugby Union currently organise representative rugby and the draw for matches at the Memorial park pitches. CJRS also caters for other sports and welcomes travelling sports teams of all varieties. Our premise is also used as venue for private and community run events of all kinds.
