Programme Overview

Anna Armstrong is a high-energy, passionate personal trainer based in Hamilton. Her outdoor group fitness business, FITNESS IS FUN, has been training women for over 10 years. The program has successfully built an amazing community of strong, supportive, and leaner women with a healthy and sustainable outlook on exercise.

Specializing in women in their 40s and 50s, our group focuses on building mobility, strength, and addressing the specific challenges that come with age. We strive to challenge women at a level that is both effective and maintainable for long-term health. Another specialization is running, where we support and guide novice, board, frustrated and injured runners.

Our goal is to help them comfortably increase their distance and speed through proper technique and a variety of strength training exercises. Our sessions are designed to be fun, diverse, and inclusive, catering to individuals of all body shapes, conditions, and fitness levels.

My daughter is in a wheelchair and I have been training her since birth to use what she has to the best of her ability, and I am wanting to grow and use my knowledge to help others with physical disabilities to also use their bodies to the best of their abilities.
