Robbie Matthews

I’m really excited about being able to work in this role of guiding and enhancing long term sport, recreation and play opportunities in the Waitomo and Otorohanga Districts. I’ll be supporting council teams with their planning and investment and will work with the local Sport and Recreation sector to build the capability of systems to deliver quality participant-centred activity opportunities in our communities for the betterment of the people within those communities.
Personally, myself I love being active and have enjoyed a variety of sporting and outdoor pursuits from Grassroots to Elite levels. I am a King Country girl to the core and passionate about rural communities and giving back to those communities that had supported me in my endeavours so that I may inspire the next generation as well.
