"After starting a family, I have developed a big passion for running and athletics – ranging in distances from 1500m though to marathons.  I tend to find myself quite hands on with either coaching and/or managing my children’s sports, which has included netball, touch, football and athletics.

Being out and active in the early morning is good for my soul.  I find it is the best way to get my blood pumping, allowing me to start the day fresh and rearing to go."

Veronica provides strategic leadership to the Waikato region’s network of Territorial Local Authorities as well as local sport and active recreation organisations and providers. She works closely with key partners to guide physical activity strategy, provision and investment, including through the development and implementation of local play, active recreation and sport plans.
