Keeping active

The Ministry of Health guidelines recommend at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise at least five days a week.

Exercise is planned, structured, repetitive, and deliberate.

  • Exercise class
  • Playing sport
  • Swimming
  • Home-based workouts

Physical Activity is all the other movements we do on a daily basis

  • Housework
  • Running errands
  • Gardening
  • Shopping
  • Child Care
  • Active job
