Strategy & Policy Advisor (Social Development & Recreation)

To help meet those demands, and factor them into our planning, our Community Group is looking for a strategic thinker to join our Policy and Planning Team.

The successful candidate will be able to provide strong policy and strategic advice over a number of key areas within Hamilton City Council’s Community group. This will include working on the 10 Year and Annual Plans, and require collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Although the role will provide general assistance to the Community Group, there will be some specific focus on sport and recreation planning for the city, in terms of indoor and outdoor recreation space and aquatic facilities.  Previous experience in the sport and recreation sector will be an advantage for applicants.

The recruiting range for this role starts at $72,600 per annum, and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
